FAQ
How long does a file analysis take?
Allow 24 to 48 hours on business days to receive our experts’ analysis report.
What types of files can I submit?
Any file under 10 MB. Please note that archives and compressed files may incur additional fees. For more information, please contact us at: contact@cyber-detect.com
What exactly does the analysis report contain?
The analysis report generated by Gorille On-Demand provides a complete and detailed view of the analyzed file. It includes the following elements:
MITRE ATT&CK matrix: a representation of the techniques and tactics observed during the analysis based on the MITRE ATT&CK framework, making it easier to interpret and correlate with other threats.
General file information: type, format, entropy level, presence of notable strings (e.g. URLs, Authenticode signatures, etc.), enabling an initial assessment of the file’s nature.
Protection analysis: detection of any protection techniques (compressed or encrypted files, archives, installers, or packers), identification of the method used, and an indication of whether it is potentially malicious.
Security analysis: use of the Gorille engine in reverse-engineering mode to detect the presence of malicious code. If malicious code is identified, the report details its nature and characteristics.
Code similarity analysis: comparison with already-known binaries (malicious or legitimate) to identify similar behaviors or functionalities.
Dynamic analysis via the Gorille sandbox: running the file in a controlled environment to observe its behavior in real time — identifying hidden or encrypted code, analyzing network communication, system activity, and execution screenshots.
Indicator of Compromise (IOC) search: detection of known elements used by malware (hashes, domain names, IPs, etc.).
Are my files handled confidentially?
Yes, the confidentiality and security of your data are at the heart of our priorities. Your files are never transmitted to third-party services or outside our information system: all processing is carried out internally, on our secure infrastructure.
Once the analysis is complete and the report has been sent, the files are immediately deleted, ensuring that no data is retained or used beyond what is strictly necessary.
